Physical Appearance
- Cap: Starts deep blue when young, gradually turning greyish-blue or light grey as it matures. Smooth and slightly convex, eventually flattening out.
- Gills: White to light grey, running down the short stem (decurrent gills).
- Stem: Short, thick, and often off-center. Can be fibrous and slightly tougher than the cap.
- Spore Print: White to pale lilac.
